A plus-size interview outfit that isn't a blazer

A blazer is the default answer and it is often the wrong one. Cheap suiting reads cheap, and a jacket that pulls across the back is all anyone will see.

The shirt-and-cardigan answer

A poplin shirt with a long cardigan over it gives you the vertical line a jacket would, with none of the fit risk across the shoulders.

Choose a cardigan that reaches your hip or below. A cropped one cuts you in half at the widest point.
